Get independence from a grid that suffers frequent & forced outages with green, reliable hybrid power and microgrid solutions

Increasing environmental concerns and consumer demand for green power makes hybrid and microgrid power more popular than ever. A hybrid microgrid combines two or more power sources, often including renewables, and is an optimum solution for achieving optimum power system reliability and resilience while cutting carbon emissions, saving fuel, and reducing maintenance requirements.

DEIF engineers have a strong track record in developing emergency, standby, and backup power solutions for critical facilities and businesses.
DEIF offers intelligent and reliable control solutions for a wide range of hybrid applications, allowing you to design green and reliable power solutions that can be scaled and reconfigured as required.

A Microgrid in California’s Wine Country Keeps the Lights On, and the Tourists Coming

Running in the background at Castello di Amorosa Winery is a microgrid with the DEIF AGC 150 controller playing a critical role in its functionality. Providing confidence and reassurance, the microgrid has become an essential system in their wine making process.

School’s hybrid microgrid showcases ease of resource management

Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA, has about 4,500 students in several buildings over 1.2 million square-feet. The school wanted to save on its electricity bill, so a solar and natural gas generator hybrid system was installed – the first renewable microgrid of its kind in Indiana.

Partnership and the AGC-150 made a unique, sustainable microgrid solution possible for Headwaters Center in Winter Park, Colorado

With the help of DEIF and strategic partner Ageto Energy, going “off grid” meant creating a sustainable energy solution that could operate consistently and independently from the city’s power feed. Relying primarily on solar energy and battery storage, with only an occasional boost from two natural gas generators.

Greenfield or brownfield?

  • In greenfield applications, you design a hybrid power plant with DEIF power/energy management systems (PMS/EMS) from the ground up. DEIF controllers allow you to design for a wide range of solutions with built-in features that ensure flexibility, scalability, reliability, and redundancy.
  • In brownfield applications, you integrate single DEIF hybrid controllers in existing power plants with 3rd party controllers or a pre-existing EMS/PMS, expanding the solution with a wide range of control options. You can also deploy them in standalone off-grid or mains parallel applications.
